Autosemantics Holds Kick-off Meeting for AI Technology Demonstration at GIST Supercomputing Center
On August 30th, Autosemantics (CEO: Naroo Kang) held a kick-off meeting for the NIPA Eco-friendly High-efficiency Equipment Solution Demonstration Program at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) Supercomputing Center. The meeting was attended by Jongwon Kim, Dean of the AI Graduate School at GIST, Jinsu Kim, Director of Deus, a specialized consulting company of the Hyper Green Data Center, and representatives from NIPA(National IT Industry Promotion Agency).
Autosemantics and Deus will be conducting a demonstration until the end of December 2024 at the AI Data Center managed by the GIST Supercomputing Center. The project will apply cutting-edge AI technology for real-time hotspot detection and elimination to enhance the temperature and humidity control performance of the data center while simultaneously reducing its Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
As of November 2022, the GIST AI Data Center recorded 3.18 petaflops, ranking 178th in the world according to HLP standard (High Performance Linpack), making it the highest-performing AI data center operated by a university in South Korea. This demonstration is being conducted following the selection of the Autosemantics and Deus consortium for NIPA’s 2024 Eco-friendly High-efficiency Equipment Solution Demonstration Program.
